CNET, a top internet tech magazine, continues its streak of compliments for Samsung monitors stating “If there’s one monitor vendor I can always count on to get me excited about the monitor category… it’s Samsung,” and “No other monitor vendor has consistently created such aesthetically stylish monitors that at the same time push the envelope in terms of performance and unique features.”

For the past 21 quarters (that’s 5 years!), Samsung Electronics has maintained the lead in the global market share for monitors.  It has just taken 15.5% of the global market share for monitors in the third quarter.  According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), a market research group, Samsung Electronics grew 10% between the second and third quarter of 2011, selling 6.4 million units.

Breaking down the numbers a little more, we were able to find out that Samsung did especially well in the high-end markets.

If we take LED monitors for example, Samsung Electronics sold 3.5 million units, or 25.5% of the market share.  Therefore every 1 in 4 LED monitors sold in the world was made by Samsung. Approximately half the Samsung monitors sold are LED monitors, showing the market’s steady transition towards high-end products.

Next up we have another upper-end product, the 24 inch and larger monitor market.  Samsung dominates here as well with over a million units sold, 27.5% of the market share.

Samsung Electronics continues its aggressive marketing since early 2011.  It has introduced a full HD 3D monitor, the Central Station monitor (which can connect to a laptop and periphery devices wirelessly), and a wide-angle monitor, which features PLS (Plane to Line Switching) for professional use.

Also, 4 Samsung monitors are set to receive Innovations Awards at the      2012 Internation al     Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January of next year, which is the largest consumer electronics show in the world.

The market and tech pundits seem to agree that Samsung monitors are without a doubt the best monitors available today.  You can read more about Samsung Electronics recipe for outstanding monitors here.
