Day 1 Highlights: Samsung Developers Conference 2013

In a nonstop blur of activity, half of the Samsung Developers Conference is already done! It was such a quick day, so let’s try to backtrack a bit. From the Keynote address to the after party at the San Francisco Exploratorium, day 1 was full of events within events; not to mention the 18 sessions on the latest SDKs and exclusive interviews with some of the industry’s most influential figures, long before the conference. For those of you who missed out on Day 1, here are the highlights of the sessions and backstage interviews with Corey Wilson, Business Development Director NFC at SMARTRAC Technology Group, and Prasad Ram, CEO at Gooru learning.

 

 

Keynote Address

 

 

The keynote address was very interesting and exciting as expected. The participants of the conference were able to find out all the new tools to play with, from Samsung Mobile SDK to KNOX Enterprise SDK.

 

 

Session 1: Introduction to the new Samsung Mobile SDK

 

Samsung Mobile SDK is a fairly new mobile SDK that consists of 10 components. It will allow users to develop applications that utilize Samsung mobile devices’ unique features, such as S Pen, much more efficiently. Whoever wants to develop a quality app efficiently needs to check this out.

 

 

 

Session 2: Samsung Smart TV: Current & Upcoming Features

 

With Samsung Smart TV SDK 4.0, developers can now easily connect the applications on their mobile devices to their Smart TV. Also, as Samsung Smart TV SDK supports Multi-OS support and enhances Smart Interaction (Voice & Gesture Control), users can control their Smart TV with their mobile devices.
