Samsung awarded for successful commercial LTE network deployment

Samsung Electronics has been selected by Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), a leading telecommunications operator in Russia and CIS region, as “Best Supplier of the Year 2014”. Samsung was recognized for the high quality solutions supplied and level of services delivered in the annual partner competition.

MTS highlighted the success of a joint project between the two companies in building large scale 4G networks across Russia. Samsung and MTS came together in a partnership in 2013 to build LTE network in the North-West Federal District of Russia including St. Petersburg and Leningrad Regions, Pskov, Komi, Arkhangelsk, Murmansk and other cities. Samsung will continue to collaborate with MTS to expand network coverage and increase capacity.

The rating of suppliers was based on the results of a large internal survey that provided feedback from a number of departments within MTS. More than 50 criteria were assessed including product quality, solution reliability, customer service, transparency and professionalism in business communications.

Samsung’s LTE solution is backed by key accomplishments over 30 years of experience and leadership in developing and commercializing telecom technologies. With years of proven field experience in LTE technologies, Samsung has successfully partnered with dozens of mobile service providers, facilitating their implementation of the most advanced LTE networks.
