Puppies are pretty hands-down cute, right? Puppies were out in full-force at the World’s largest dog and trade show, Crufts. The world’s renowned Crufts Dog Show, presented by the Kennel Club, is held every year in March at National Exhibition Centre (NFC), Birmingham, England.  Who wonder what it is? We will share all the adorable details about the Crufts Dog Show.

Crufts Dog Show was named after its founder, Charles Cruft. Young Charles Cruft worked as general manager for a dog biscuit manufacturer in Holborn, London. In 1886, he traveled to dog shows both in the United Kingdom and internationally, which allowed him to establish contacts and understand the need for higher standards for dog shows. Since the first Crufts Dog Show in 1891, the show has been gaining in popularity each year. Today, Crufts Dog Show is the UK’s biggest dog show dedicated to the health and happiness of pets.

Of course, half the fun of attending is the chance to meet and play with some of the dogs in attendance, so our Samsung Smart Camera NX300 Bloggers were super-psyched to get the chance to go and get some photos!

Since Samsung Electronics is the Official Sponsor of the 2013 Crufts Dog Show, it was a great place for the Bloggers to meet up.  There was a large Samsung booth inside of the event hall. Samsung Electronics provided and shared various pet related contents which incorporated various Samsung Electronics products, such as Smart TV, GALAXY Camera, GALAXY Note II, and GALAXY Tab 10.1. The result was happy visitors, and most importantly, happy dogs!  Check out the photos we collected!

The show was not just about pretty dogs though – Samsung and Blue Cross (England’s animal welfare group) collaborated on a charity event for sick, injured, and homeless pets at Samsung Booth. Through this event, England’s pet lovers generously donated money to be used in treating 2,000 pets in need.

So, the dogs were there, the bloggers were there, and money was being raised to help needy animals.  But the event was also totally fun (for humans and dogs!) thanks to the many events at the show.  There were activities to get dogs moving, teach them new tricks and how to behave, as well as seminars and “Dog Discovery” events.

Much to the delight of the dogs, there were booths for various dog foods, souvenirs, and products targeted at both dogs and dog owners!

The crown jewel in the Crufts Dog Show, was the “Best Dog Award” ceremony.  Check out the top two pups in the picture above – aren’t they beautiful?  As part of the awards ceremony, Samsung Electronics UK gave the winning dog a Samsung GALAXY Camera.

The NX300 bloggers had quite a challenge in the show – capture photos of those fast-moving dogs!  Luckily, the NX300 came through for them, thanks to the quick AF speed they were able to capture some great shots.  Not only that but the auto-share and smart features allowed them to instantly share their photos via social networking.  We hope you, and your canine friends felt like you were part of the show thanks to our blogging team’s awesome documentation!

All the photos we’ve included with this report, including the ones below, were taken by our bloggers using the NX300. If you would like learn more about NX300, please visit http://www.samsung.com/NX
