A View of London with the GALAXY Tab

On the 25th, 192 GALAXY Tab 10.1s were installed on the London Eye, a popular tourist attraction with over 4 million visitors each year.  A premier landmark of the city, the London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel was constructed to commemorate the new millennium in 1999.  The Eye’s distinctive “capsules” offer a breath-taking 360-degree view of the city.

Now other than the great view you can find out more about what you’re viewing through 6 GALAXY Tabs installed in every one of the 32 capsules.  The GALAXY Tabs blend seamlessly into the interior of the capsule, a subtle but handy addition for tourists.

You can learn more about London’s historical landmarks and tourist attractions simply by tapping the location the Tab screen, offering information like its distance from the Eye, the year of construction, height (in the case of tall buildings) and more.  The Tab also offers five different language modes including English, French, German, Dutch and Spanish, with an intuitive interface allowing users to switch effortlessly between languages.

Expecting a flood of incoming tourists for the London Olympics this year, Samsung is planning more ways to enhance the London experience for visitors from around the world.
