ChatON is Samsung’s new free global mobile communication service that works across all major Smartphone and feature phone platforms. It lets users connect with friends and family, regardless of device platform, allowing them to share text, images, hand-written notes and video instantly. Users can chat in groups, while a Web client will allow the easy sharing of content and conversations between mobile and PC.

Sensible communication supporting various multi-media contents!

ChatON, which is available in more than 120 countries supporting up to 62 languages, features two functionality options. For those that like to keep things simple. A basic functionality option is available for feature phone users who prefer simple and easy usage, allowing users to share text, pictures and calendars from an easy-to-access client.

For those who like a little more adventure, Smartphone users can enjoy advanced feature options, enabling richer communication between ‘buddies’. By allowing users to see how often they communicate with their buddies using the Interaction Rank feature, as well as post comments on buddies’ profile pages, keeping up with those closest to you couldn’t be easier. Additional options include creating an ‘Animation message’ which allows you to create your own content by scribbling texts, adding audio and choosing your own background pictures. All photos and videos in each conversation window can be viewed at a glance in an automatically-generated content sharing ‘Trunk’.

While you’ll most likely start with a close group of friends and family, the possibilities of ChatON are limitless. Mobile communication is about to get a global makeover, offering users the world over an easy-to-access platform and opportunities for a worldwide community.
