Angry Birds Flash Mob Takes Over London!

November 8, 2012 | Comments | Tomorrow Works

Westfield Stratford, London was taken over by a frenetic Angry Birds flash mob to celebrate the arrival of Angry Birds on Samsung SMART TV. On Nov 17th, Wednesday at 1p.m., a single dancer emerged from the lunchtime crowd and began to dance while three Angry Birds circled around him. Soon he was joined by 30 other dancers as the music took over the shopping centre.  Crowds watched on as dancers performed a range of routines culminating in the launch of the Angry Birds exclusively onto Samsung SMART TV.

As winter approaches, the Angry Birds have begun their migration and are making their way to their biggest playground ever: Samsung SMART TVs. For the very first time the world’s favorite mobile app can be played on a big screen and controlled only by hand gestures. No need for flicking fingers or using a remote control, simply stand in front of the Samsung SMART TV and move your hand to aim and release your Angry Birds.

The flash mob performance heralds the start of a two month campaign to find the best Angry Birds player in Europe. Players around Europe have a chance to win a trip to London to compete in a celebrity All-Star final to find Europe’s champion in the world’s first motion-controlled Angry Birds experience.

Angry Birds on Samsung Smart TV is available for free download from Samsung Smart Hub on all 2012 Smart Interaction enabled LED and Plasma Smart TVs. This applies to the LED 7000 and up models and the Plasma 8000 and up models.
