Samsung Smart TV Smart Play Festival was held at Haeundae Beach in South Korea from August 3rd through 5th. Approximately 25,000 beachgoers visited the festival during three days. Let’s find out how it attracted so many travelers and what interested them most! Start with the preview video.
If you recall from our previous article, the Samsung Smart TV Smart Play Festival is an exposition tied to the popular game, Angry Birds. This festival is part of a larger How to Live Smart Campaign. The focus of this festival is on giving people the chance to play Angry Birds with Samsung Smart TV motion control in the “experience zone”.
Groups of family, friends, and couples had fun using their hands and simple gestures to play Angry Birds, without the need for a controller.
A father and his son held hands together and played the game, with the father teaching his son how to play. Family togetherness was a theme throughout the event, proving how a Smart TV can bring families closer together.
The AngryBirds experience zone was so crowded with people who wanted to try the new motion control function that a line started forming.
So, since this was a “festival” of course Samsung had to include some special events in addition to the game. There were various performances and even a flash mob. Can you see the real-life Angry Birds bursting out of the TV in the picture?
This was part of a cool performance where the Angry Birds game was re-enacted offline. The slingshot, Angry Birds characters, and the layout of the game were created by real people and props, and the crowds loved it!
Angry Birds events entertained the beachgoers too. People wearing Angry Birds shirts and masks started dancing as part of a flash mob. Several zany beachgoers also jumped in to participate in the flash mob too.
And what festival is complete without music? Korean pop singers hit the Haeundae stage as the sun set. Put your hands up!
Well, the Samsung Smart TV Smart Play Festival was a huge success – and there are still several weeks of summer break left! Enjoy!
