We recently let you know about the no-touch version of Angry Birds available on Samsung Smart TV, but it was time to let the rest of the world in on the secret too! So, Samsung Electronics hosted Samsung Smart TV “Smart Play Festival” in both North and South America. The first step was building an experience zone for the Smart Play Festivals. This zone served as the main area for users to give the motion control features of Samsung Smart TV a try, and of course a chance to play Angry Birds. Let’s have a look to see how the event looked at some of the different locations.
First up, the United States…
Samsung Electronics made a huge splash in New York City at the Samsung Space Fest at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space museum. Check out this link to see some of the highlights
This museum houses many exhibits related to sea and space exploration, including the Space Shuttle Enterprise, which makes it a natural partner with Samsung Electronics, a leader in technological exploration.
During the event, scheduled to run through August 22nd, a variety of aerospace programs will take place. Samsung Electronics is set to entertain about 60,000 visitors, giving them the first-hand experiences with aerospace and the innovative Samsung Smart TV.
One of the attractions which is proving most entertaining is the Samsung Smart TV Space Shuttle Experience zone, which features the unveiling of the largest LED TV, the 75-inch ES9000. As you saw in the video, users also have a chance to try motion-controlling the popular Angry Birds app.
Next up, Latin America…
Samsung Electronics and Latin America have a long history – in fact, Samsung has been exporting TVs to Panama since 1971!
Latin America was the next place that Samsung Electronics decided to host its Smart TV Smart Play Events, and they happened in Panama, Ecuador, Guatemala, El Salvador and Dominican Republic. More than 1,000 people enjoyed the game during its three day stint in Panama. Be sure to check out the links below to see how people latched on to the motion-control features.
Well, it’s clear that Samsung Smart TV and Angry Birds are a hit all over the Western Hemisphere, for kids and adults. Hopefully you’ll take the time to check out these festivals if they happen to fly into your area!
