Launch of CDMA network in Australia
Since the beginning of 2000, the CDMA market had been expanding in the United States, Australia and around the world. Samsung began to export telecommunications devices to China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam and more. This was done as part of Samsung’s commitment to being the world's best, and led to Samsung receiving the No.1 global market share for CDMA mobile phones.
Samsung color TV hits 100 million sales
The year 2000 was a big year with many milestones – one of which was the 100 millionth Samsung color TV being manufactured and sold. Way back in April, 1976, Samsung had begun to manufacture the color TV, and sales reached 50 million in 1995.
