GALAXY Note celebrity cameos: David Beckham and James Franco

What do soccer star David Beckham and Hollywood actor James Franco have in common?  More than just well-known names and faces… it’s their love of Galaxy Note!

First, let’s talk Beckham. We posted a video a while back, showing London Olympics goodwill ambassador David Beckham use his GALAXY Note to help pound out Beethoven’s famous Ode to Joy.  “Wow,” was the first word Beckham said when he saw huge wall of 15 different sized drums. Taking a quick picture of the drums using GALAXY Note, the director used the S Pen to draw David’s directions for the melody. Beckham smiled with confidence. He completed Beethoven’s masterpiece by kicking soccer balls into the wall of drums using various soccer techniques. If you missed it the first time around, check out the video below:

This video recorded over 4 million views on social media within three days. To cap off its success, it will also be shown on the giant outdoor billboards in Piccadilly, London and New York’s Times Square for all to see.

Not only is David Beckham in on the Samsung action, but so is James Franco – best known for his acting roles in in Planet of The Apes and Spiderman. Well, turns out he’s not just a pretty face – he’s an actor, producer, writer, and teacher. He also seems to be somewhat of a perpetual student, enrolling in multiple degrees at various institutions. We got lucky enough to meet this busy man on the set of Samsung Electronics own hit online comedy: Fact Checkers Unit (FCU).

In this video, our trusty fact-checkers were sent to investigate the rumor that James Franco was pregnant.  Based on a GALAXY Note photo of his “bump,” the FCU set out to find the truth. Spoiler Alert: turns out James Franco said that he was born as a ‘Shape Shifter,’ with the power to shift into any body size or type.  Curious about all the chemical equipment in Franco’s laboratory, the FCU suspect him of plotting to take over the world.  How will GALAXY Note help the fact-checkers to complete their mission?
